Veterans and Mesothelioma

The U.S. Department of Veterans Affairs estimates that some 25 million veterans are still with us today – many of whom were exposed to toxic asbestos-containing materials during their military service. Veterans and mesothelioma are too closely related to be the product of mere chance. Asbestos was widely used by every military branch due to its heat resistance and fireproofing ability.

Although asbestos was gradually phased out beginning in the 1970s, servicemen and women were routinely exposed to legacy asbestos up until the 1980s. The relationship between Navy veterans with mesothelioma, Army veterans with mesothelioma, and Air Force veterans with mesothelioma resulting from asbestos exposure is particularly strong.

Veterans of our armed forces deserve the best medical care available. Sadly, however, many veterans do not have access to the health care they need, especially if they have mesothelioma.

If you contracted mesothelioma in the military, or were exposed to asbestos in the course of your service resulting in the risk of mesothelioma, you may be entitled to collect financial compensation as a result. Contact Johnson Law Group today to find out more about how we can help you build a case for asbestos exposure-related injury and get the reparation that you deserve.
